Softball Recap: Willard Takes a Loss

Willard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-4 to the Western Reserve Roughriders. One positive for the Crimson Flashes, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Willard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Slone, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Willard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Willard beat Western Reserve by a score of 4-1 later that day.
