Soccer Game Preview: Atlantic Collegiate Academy vs. Georgetown

The Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada will venture away from home to challenge the Georgetown Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy will head out to face Georgetown after giving up their first home loss of the season on Wednesday. The Armada fell just short of Legion Collegiate Academy by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Atlantic Collegiate Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Legion Collegiate Academy are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Georgetown's offense. They lost 15-0 to Carolina Forest on Tuesday.

Georgetown has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy took their victory against Georgetown in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Armada have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
