Softball Recap: Civic Leadership Eagles vs. Parish Hill Pirates
Civic Leadership had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-21 win over the Parish Hill Pirates. That's more bragging rights for Civic Leadership, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
For Parish Hill's part, they got a massive performance out of Julia Herman, who scored five runs and stole seven bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Molly Wilson, who scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Even though they lost, Parish Hill didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with ten strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.
Parish Hill now has a losing record at 2-3.
