Baseball Game Preview: Conner Cougars vs. Campbell County Camels

The Conner Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Campbell County Camels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Conner came out on top against Highlands on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Cougars took their game against the Bluebirds 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Campbell County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.

Campbell County's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Conner, their win bumped their record up to 15-13.

Conner might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Campbell County in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
