Basketball Recap: Mcclave Beats Idalia for Their Ninth Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, McClave rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took down the Idalia Wolves 47-33. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on nine straight.

It was another big night for Abrielle Gomez, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 33 times she's played. Addison Vallejos was another key player, putting up 11 points and six steals.

Idalia lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaylyn Kechter, who posted 15 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Krista Wieser, who had ten points and seven rebounds.

McClave's record is now 26-2. As for Idalia, the loss snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 23-5 record.
