Softball Recap: South Point Wins Going Away Against Fairland

South Point hadn't done well against Fairland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pointers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Dragons. The result was nothing new for the Pointers, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Adyson Copley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alli Stidham was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

South Point was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

South Point's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Fairland, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Coming up, South Point is taking a road trip to take on Chesapeake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pointers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fairland, they will welcome Northwest at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
