Recap: Olympus Titans vs. Hunter Wolverines
With a playoff game on the line, the Olympus Titans rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the Wolverines 40-37. The win was nothing new for Olympus as they're now sitting on three straight.
Olympus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keily Trabanino led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven steals. Trabanino hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Joss Baker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Gallagher, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Gallagher hasn't dropped below two blocks for 13 straight games. Kalysa Ng was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Olympus now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Hunter, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Olympus will take on Alta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Olympus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. Hunter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
