Soccer Recap: King Takes a Loss

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alice Coyotes.

King's loss dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Alice, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15-3.

Coming up, King will challenge Flour Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Flour Bluff will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something King surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alice, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corpus Christi Moody at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Alice will be up against Corpus Christi Moody's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.65 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
