The Lamesa Tornadoes will head out to square off against the Bushland Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lamesa is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Denver City just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 23-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The matchup marked the Tornadoes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Daniel Ramos put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (94 yards to be exact) went to Deev Lugo.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last contest, Bushland made sure to put some points up on the board against River Road on Friday. The Falcons took their game with ease, bagging a 51-10 win over the Wildcats. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Bushland's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Lamesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
