Softball Recap: Union-Endicott Takes a Loss

Union-Endicott was the 7-1 winner over Corning-Painted Post when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Hawks on Friday, falling 15-2.

Maryn Morse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

Union-Endicott has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Corning-Painted Post, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Union-Endicott will head out to take on Vestal at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Corning-Painted Post, they will welcome Elmira at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Express have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
