Basketball Recap: Napsugar Bota Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Durham Academy

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee won the last time they faced Durham Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 34-27. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 77th in Georgia, while the Cavaliers are ranked 206th in North Carolina) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Napsugar Bota out in front who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Vivian McNabb, who had nine points and eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Durham Academy had strong showings from Sadie Steinberg, who put up 11 points and five boards, and Naomi Adigun, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. Adigun is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played.
