Basketball Recap: Sturgis West Triumphs

Sturgis West won the last time they faced Old Colony RVT and things went their way on Monday too. The Sturgis West Navigators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 win over the Old Colony RVT Cougars.

Despite the loss, Old Colony RVT saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Serenity Pina went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points.

Sturgis West now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Old Colony RVT, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sturgis West will square off against Rising Tide at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Old Colony RVT, they will head out to square off against Norfolk County Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
