Football Recap: Cheraw Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cheraw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 52-16 loss at the hands of the Cheyenne Wells Tigers. The Wolverines lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-0 score last time.

Despite the loss, Cheraw still got an impressive performance from Samuel Goheen, who picked up 73 receiving yards and two TDs.

Cheraw's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cheyenne Wells, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Cheraw wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 62-44 win against Genoa-Hugo on the 25th. As for Cheyenne Wells, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fleming at 6:00 p.m. on October 3.
