Diboll lost to Hudson back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Diboll Lumberjacks won by a run and slipped past the Hudson Hornets 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Lorena Castillo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was De'Mya Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Diboll's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Hudson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Diboll will challenge LEAD Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hudson, they will take on Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shepherd is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
