Softball Game Preview: Deer Valley Wolverines vs. Mt. Diablo Red Devils

The Deer Valley Wolverines will face off against the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Diablo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Deer Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Deer Valley beat Tennyson 17-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Amelia Willis was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilyana Ponce, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to Pinole Valley.

Deer Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mt. Diablo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
