Basketball Recap: East Orange Campus Jaguars vs. Seton Hall Prep Pirates
East Orange Campus lost against Seton Hall Prep back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The East Orange Campus Jaguars took a 71-55 bruising from the Seton Hall Prep Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Pirates are ranked 17th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Hall Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Klimas, who posted 13 points along with five boards and three blocks. That's the most boards Klimas has posted since back in December of 2023. Alex Ante was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards.
This is the second loss in a row for East Orange Campus and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Seton Hall Prep, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
East Orange Campus will be playing in front of their home fans against West Side at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Seton Hall Prep, they will venture away from home to face off against Roselle Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seton Hall Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season.
