Manteca is 0-10 against Oakdale since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. Manteca will square off against Oakdale at 4:00 p.m. Manteca is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
While Manteca's win against Mountain House wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Manteca had just enough and edged out Mountain House 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted since May 14, 2024.
Riley Ward made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
In other pitching news, Isabel Tonna tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Lauren Moncada, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jayana Dias also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Oakdale had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against East Union on Thursday by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Jaelyn Lee (UOP) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Oakdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Bohannon (Cal Poly), who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Manteca's record now sits at 8-4. As for Oakdale, their record now sits at 8-5.
