Baseball Game Preview: Stearns Minutemen vs. Bangor Christian Patriots

The Stearns Minutemen will head out on the road to take on the Bangor Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Lee Academy hit Stearns with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Minutemen came up short against the Pandas, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Minutemen have suffered against the Pandas since May 2, 2022.

Emerson Michaud was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Meanwhile, Bangor Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Bulldogs 9-3. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Bangor Christian pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Stearns, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Stearns might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Bangor Christian when the teams last played on May 12th. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
