Recap: ASSETS Admirals vs. Hawaiian Mission Academy Knights
The ASSETS Admirals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 38-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hawaiian Mission Academy. ASSETS lost against Hawaiian Mission Academy in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 36-32 score last time.
Hawaiian Mission Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcellus McCullah led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Garcia, who scored nine points along with five steals.
ASSETS's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Hawaiian Mission Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
ASSETS will be home for the holidays to greet Lanakila Baptist at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hawaiian Mission Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
