Hobbs made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Piedra Vista, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Hobbs Eagles' way against the Piedra Vista Panthers on Saturday as the Hobbs Eagles made off with  a  10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the  matchup before.
Hobbs got a great performance from  Chase Brister as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. Brister has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Christian Montes, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayden Hernandez, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI.
Hobbs moved to 1-2 with that  win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak. As for Piedra Vista, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
Hobbs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Piedra Vista: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
