Basketball Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, Ridgeland lost to the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers on the road by a 60-42 margin.

Despite the loss, Ridgeland saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hakeem Chaneyfield posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabien Harris, who scored eight points.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Allendale-Fairfax, their win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Denmark-Olar the next time they take the court. Ridgeland will host Denmark-Olar at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Allendale-Fairfax will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
