Volleyball Recap: Monticello's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Fallsburg on Friday, Monticello came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Sullivan West Bulldogs on Monday, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

While Monticello ultimately came up short, they really made Sullivan West work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 26-24.

Having lost for the first time this season, Monticello fell to 4-1. As for Sullivan West, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will face off against O'Neill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sullivan West, they will take on Chapel Field Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
