Basketball Game Preview: Christ Chapel Academy vs. Immanuel Christian Warriors

Christ Chapel Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Immanuel Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-29, which was the final score in Christ Chapel Academy's tilt against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Christ Chapel Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Saint John Paul the Great Catholic is ranked 133rd).

The losing side was boosted by David Neaves, who posted 14 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Richaun Martin, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, Immanuel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 61-40 to Trinity Christian.

This is the second loss in a row for Christ Chapel Academy and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Immanuel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Christ Chapel Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Immanuel Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 73-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christ Chapel Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
