Football Recap: Torrance Starts Season with Win on the Road

Torrance had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the San Pedro Pirates 37-13. The Tartars have beaten the Pirates the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pirates has come to flipping the script.

Leading Torrance to victory were Gibson Turner and Vaughn Reinert. Turner threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, while Reinert gained 135 total yards and two touchdowns.

Coming up, Torrance will head out on the road to face off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Pedro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
