Sonora hasn't had much luck against Colorado recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Broncos will head out to take on the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Sonora turned things around against Miles on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Liliana Gallegos, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Tayvin Gonzales also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Sonora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Colorado never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Christoval 18-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolves needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Mia Obenhaus was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Obenhaus was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Colorado got a massive performance out of Bryanna Munoz, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Aj Goodney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Colorado has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Sonora, their record now sits at 13-8.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sonora hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Colorado struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sonora might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Colorado in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
