Basketball Game Preview: Tornillo Coyotes vs. Bowie Bears

The Tornillo Coyotes are taking a road trip to challenge the Bowie Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tornillo will be strutting in after a victory while Bowie will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Tornillo didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Fort Hancock, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win.

Meanwhile, Bowie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 90-39 defeat at the hands of Chapin. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 995th, while the Huskies are ranked 24th).

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Tornillo, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
