Basketball Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss

Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-39 loss at the hands of the Southwest Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1298th, while the Raiders are ranked 323rd).

Sunset's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Southwest, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Sunset is taking a road trip to take on South Oak Cliff at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. South Oak Cliff has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 227 points over their last three matchups. As for Southwest, they will host Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 12:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
