It's playoff time, and Cherokee Trail had no trouble coming through when it counted. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cougars who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Cherokee Trail Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Denver East Angels's two. This was payback for Cherokee Trail, who suffered a 5-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Derek Seymour, who's now up to five this season.

The victory (which was Cherokee Trail's third in a row) raised their record to 11-3-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for Denver East, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 12-2-3.

Cherokee Trail didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Legacy on the 8th. Denver East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
