Volleyball Recap: Thayer Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Thayer Academy came into Wednesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the St. George's Dragons on Wednesday.

Thayer Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-9, 25-23.

Naraya Dasilva paced Thayer Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Dasilva got some help from Caroline Snyder and her 38 assists. Dasilva and Snyder didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

Thayer Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for St. George's, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Thayer Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. George's, they will take on Middlesex at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
