Baseball Recap: East Marshall Sets Scoring Season-High Against BCLUW

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Marshall). They blew past the BCLUW Comets 13-3 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

East Marshall pushed their record up to 9-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for BCLUW, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Marshall will venture away from home to square off against Aplington-Parkersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for BCLUW, they will face off against Baxter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
