Basketball Recap: Blackfoot Takes Down Skyline in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Blackfoot had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 50-45 win over the Skyline Grizzlies on Thursday. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Cambrie Waterhouse was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Addison Tanner was another key player, putting up ten points.

Blackfoot smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at Shay Shippen. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Shippen's evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Macy Marlow, who posted 12 points.

Blackfoot's record now sits at 19-5. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Blackfoot wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-54 loss against Pocatello on the 21st. As for Skyline, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-64 win against Bishop Kelly on the 21st.
