Basketball Game Preview: Warner Eagles vs. Vian Wolverines

The Warner Eagles will take on the Vian Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Warner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Warner is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Wilburton to the tune of 63-23 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since January 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, Vian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 52-13 loss at the hands of Central. The match marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Vian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Warner, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Warner against Vian when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 62-26 win. Will Warner repeat their success, or does Vian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
