Baseball Recap: Davenport Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Davenport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Tenoroc Titans on Thursday as they made off with a 13-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.

Brylandd Canode was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Davenport is 4-1 when Canode posts two or more runs, but 4-16 otherwise. Will Cintron also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Davenport pushed their record up to 8-17 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tenoroc, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Davenport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-11 win against Celebration on the 14th. As for Tenoroc, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-0 defeat against King on the 14th.
