Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles. The Bengals were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bloomfield saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Cole, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Bloomfield's record now sits at 3-13. As for Morris Knolls, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Newark Central in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Morris Knolls, they will welcome Pope John XXIII at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pope John XXIII has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.72 runs per game on average), something Morris Knolls will no doubt try to take advantage of.
