Baseball Recap: Crown Point Comes Up Short

Crown Point had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-2 to make it five. They lost 14-3 to the Bolton Central Eagles. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Bolton Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1. Considering they have won three matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Bolton Central's part, Abram Figueroa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Figueroa was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Andy Morehouse was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Egloff, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Crown Point is set to challenge their familiar foe Schroon Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bolton Central will take on rival Chazy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
