Chambers and North Mecklenburg squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Chambers had to settle for second. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Mecklenburg Vikings. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Chambers' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Thompson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Markus Kerr, who posted 11 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Chambers' defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for North Mecklenburg, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 29-3.

Chambers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Mecklenburg, they will venture away from home to face off against New Hanover at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in New Hanover's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
