Volleyball Recap: Bennett Tigers vs. Fort Lupton Bluedevils
If Bennett was feeling good off their 3-0 takedown of Arvada last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bennett Tigers fell just short of the Fort Lupton Bluedevils by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Bennett's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brailyn Neade, who had 11 digs, and Elizabeth Westendorf, who had 17 digs, 16 kills, and two aces. Westendorf is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Bennett's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Fort Lupton, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennett will head out to challenge Byers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bennett is facing Byers at the right time seeing as Byers is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fort Lupton, they will venture away from home to face off against Middle Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
