Brownstown Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 56-14 victory over the North Harrison Cougars. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-7.

Brownstown Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Preston Garrison led the charge by rushing for 84 yards. Garrison got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 66 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brownstown Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 230 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

When it comes to explaining why North Harrison lost, don't look at Bryce Fessel. Despite the final result, he rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

Brownstown Central's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for North Harrison, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownstown Central will face off against Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will be up against the Owls' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Harrison, they will venture away from home to square off against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
