Berlin Brothersvalley had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the North Star Cougars with a sharp 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Berlin Brothersvalley let Haylee Speicher and Bena Barna run wild. Speicher went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs, while Barna went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Speicher has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayley Poorbaugh, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Berlin Brothersvalley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.

Berlin Brothersvalley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for North Star, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Berlin Brothersvalley will take on Ferndale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Star, they will square off against Rockwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
