Baseball Recap: West Jones Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Jones can now relate to. They fell just short of the Picayune Maroon Tide by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Maroon Tide recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

West Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Picayune, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 21-8.

While West Jones had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
