Volleyball Recap: Reading Memorial Takes a Loss

Reading Memorial entered their matchup against Wakefield Memorial on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rockets fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Rockets were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Reading Memorial started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 18-25, 25-14, 25-20, 15-13.

Reading Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Wakefield Memorial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Reading Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Marblehead on the 10th. As for Wakefield Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Melrose on the 14th.
