Basketball Game Preview: Nipomo Titans vs. Torres Toros

Nipomo is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They lost 58-36 to Thacher.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Torres' strategy against Avenal on Friday. The Toros blew past the Buccaneers 54-28. The Toros pushed the score to 47-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buccaneers had little chance of recovering from.

Nipomo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Torres, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Nipomo came up short against Torres in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 41-37. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
