Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Legends vs. Orchard Park Quakers

The Lancaster Legends will take on the Orchard Park Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Orchard Park will come in with four straight victories.

Last Saturday, Lancaster ended up a good deal behind Williamsville North and lost 63-44. While losing is never fun, the Legends can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Spartans are ranked 158th).

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Orchard Park over Frontier in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Orchard Park blew Frontier out of the water with a 63-32 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Quakers had established a 26 point advantage.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Orchard Park, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Lancaster came up short against Orchard Park when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 67-63. Can Lancaster avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
