Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampton Roads Academy). They came out on top against the Veritas School Lions by a score of 64-54 on Friday. The Navigators haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Veritas School's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was London Smith, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Liam Cruess, who earned 14 points and eight boards.

The win got Hampton Roads Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Veritas School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Coming up, Hampton Roads Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Norfolk Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Veritas School, they will head out to square off against Grace Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Grace Christian School's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
