Soccer Game Preview: Northeast Dubois vs. Tell City

The Northeast Dubois Jeeps will take on the Tell City Marksmen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast Dubois is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Northeast Dubois is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Washington Catholic get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Northeast Dubois haven't had any issues with Washington Catholic recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lily Goepfrich and Greyley Butcha scored both of Northeast Dubois' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tell City). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Shoals on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Tell City needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Northeast Dubois' record is now 11-5. As for Tell City, their record now sits at 2-12.

Northeast Dubois took their win against Tell City when the teams last played back in August by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jeeps since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
