Baseball Recap: Apache Junction Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Apache Junction ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the ALA - Ironwood Warriors. The victory was some much needed relief for the Prospectors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Isaiah Carranza was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryan Haselhorst, who earned three runs.

Apache Junction now has a winning record of 10-9. As for ALA - Ironwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Apache Junction is taking a road trip to face off against Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for ALA - Ironwood, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Benjamin Franklin at 3:45 p.m.
