Volleyball Game Preview: Pomona Panthers vs. Westminster Wolves

The Pomona Panthers will face off against the Westminster Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pomona saw some tournament action on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Thomas MacLaren School 2-1.

Pomona can attribute much of their success to Mitchell Cox, who had 23 assists and ten digs. Those 23 assists gave Cox a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Westminster beat Alameda 3-1 on Monday.

Westminster had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Pomona's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Westminster, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14.
