Hamilton Heights extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Indiana this week by beating Peru, 75-13. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Huskies.
Eastern made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,737 from 13,166. The advance stemmed from a 35-6 victory over the Comets last week.
Hamilton Heights' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Corey Beck threw for 51 yards and Aaron Knott had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Jesse Kerfoot chipped in 150 yards. Justin Feltz helped Hamilton Heights' passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.
Hamilton Heights' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Beck has thrown for 1336 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Grant Weatherford has 26 catches for 512 yards. Conner Faulkner leads the league in rushing with 752 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Maconaquah takes on Western. As it stands, the Braves are in sixth, while the Panthers are in fourth.
Mitch Street's team led Mid-Indiana in scoring this week after putting up 75 points on the Tigers. Kerfoot in the win.
