Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Jupiter

The Central Cobras will face off against the Jupiter Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-3 win over Palm Beach Gardens. Given the Cobras' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Gators are ranked 411th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Jupiter earned a 3-1 victory over Palm Beach Lakes on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

They hit Palm Beach Lakes with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kai Quinn, Brandon Leibovich, and Erick Garcia.

Jupiter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six games. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.

Central might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Jupiter in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
