Basketball Recap: Whitefish Bay Comes Up Short

Whitefish Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Nicolet Knights, falling 86-61. The Blue Dukes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.

Nicolet's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Bolden, who almost dropped a triple-double with 20 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. The contest was Bolden's third in a row with at least 19 points. Rashaad Davis was another key player, going 9-for-16 on his way to 23 points and three steals.

Whitefish Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Nicolet, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Whitefish Bay will take on West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nicolet, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Milwaukee King at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Nicolet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
